FIRST METHODIST PRESCHOOL
ADOPTS FROG STREET CURRICULUM
INFANT THROUGH 5 YEAR OLDS
“WHAT YOU TEACH ME BIRTH TO THREE WILL BE WHAT MATTERS MOST TO ME. WHAT YOUR TEACH ME THREE TO FIVE WILL BE WHAT MAKES ME GROW AND THRIVE.” Dr. Pam Schiller, Senior Author Frog Street Press
Effective fall 2016 every class at First Methodist Preschool will be adopting the Frog Street curriculum. Frog Street Early Childhood Programs are built on 4 key cornerstones and developmental areas:
- Language Development
- Social and Emotional Development
- Cognitive Development
- Physical Development
Each classroom has a specific curriculum which will address those 4 developmental areas.
Of course our Group 4 and 5 classes also participate in the grant “Texas School Ready”. Erica Ricoy begins her second year in this program and Ashley Walker begins her first year in this program. The program uses the Frog Street Curriculum as well as other excellent and age appropriate concepts and a wealth of excellent materials.
You will be hearing more about the individual classes’ curriculum and plans. We know you will love being a part of fall at First Methodist Preschool, Mexia.
